Lyrebird Cricket, custom, handmade, Australian manufactured cricket bats.

Now in the Melbourne Eastern Suburbs and Gippsland (Servicing all of Australia, Melbourne and Gippsland). Lyrebird Cricket is dedicated to handcrafting high quality cricket bats from your choice of, Imported or Australian grown English Willow. We make customised cricket bats, do repairs and maintenance, and sell a select range of cricketing equipment.

As part of the bat customisation process, you can personally hand pick your own timber cleft from our range. We will then design, weight and hand craft your bat to meet your individual requirements. Off the shelf bats are also available if preferred.

Don't forget we also have a range of specially designed bats for women, (senior and junior) custom made for correct weight and size.

We are proud to announce a collaboration with famed Australiana Outback Painter Edward J Cairnduff (Aka EJ Cairns). Ed has produced two magnificent original paintings for Lyrebird Cricket titled ‘The Kelly Outback Series’. He has graciously allowed us to copy and turn them into a limited edition label run.

Each bat has a facsimile of Ed’s signature and is individually numbered. Lyrebird Cricket is absolutely delighted with the results and is very honoured that Ed has allowed us to reproduce his fine works as cricket bat labels.

These limited edition, handmade, grade 1 and specially labelled cricket bats now available. Cost $750.

Lyrebird Cricket is pleased to announce the new ‘Wield the Willow’ brand of Imported part made English willow cricket bats. In partnership with the Overseas company who also supply us with English willow clefts and using our designs, they have agreed to manufacture this new bat line. Wield the Willow brand bat range, now means we can offer you the same quality timber bats, off the shelf at a budget price of $490.

Please note we are still making handmade custom cricket bats from scratch, made and crafted in Australia, but only under the original ‘Lyrebird Cricket’ label. So, if you want an original tailor-made custom bat, you can still visit us, hand pick your English willow cleft and we will make it to suite your requirements.
